Re:

The forks look like they're off a 1980 Gios with the coins missing - and they will be Columbus SL if so

Olympics were hand built by Paul Coupe at Olympic Cycles in
Nottingham - the shop closed a few years ago but they used to sponsor Beauvale CC back in the day.

I had an Olympic frame custom built for me in 1987 and I still have it today!

Why thank you.....

another thing learnt :D

IMG_20240321_141739_771.jpg Old thread I know but it's helped me identify my frame. Badged up as a Peugeot Look team bike from 1992! Also has a decal saying Mike Kloser who rode for the team, thing is it was a MTB team and this is a road bike. Frame number is 850034P.C. so I presume PC is Paul Coupe. Gipiemme brake bridge and campagnolo portacetena drop outs

It'd be nice to think these unidentified forks in my parts bin were by Gios, but don't think they would have made any with mudguard mounts!
Anyone want a stab at the manufacturer?

I think they could be gios unless olympic made something similar too, they were on the bike when I sold it years ago in the shop, I remember we took some 2p coins and ground them to fit on the grinder.
The bike is still in use as I see it around. I'll get some pics if I see it at the coffeeshop

Olympic Cycles was owned and run by Granville Horton, I've got his Raleigh SBDU 753 Dynaflite. The frames by Paul are very nicely built, he was a Reynolds 753 approved builder. I was watching your frame on eBay... you got a cracking deal 👍

Thread 'Olympic Cycles Nottingham...any memories..' https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/olympic-cycles-nottingham-any-memories.451286/
I have emailed Granville Horton via contact info from V-CC yearbook, hopefully he'll come back with some more info. Saw the frame on eBay and knew it was something nice, then I found this thread and put a bid in, definitely a bargain.
