i was stripping my front door with the old stuff, ran out half way through the job, the old stuff was amazing,
came to use the green stuff and it was useless.
if i come across any old stuff i'll let you know.

It's the dichloromethane that has been switched and that was pretty much what it was (with a hint of white spirit and methanol thrown in) , there is nothing they can do about it. The EU banned it it believe.
I don't know what is in the new stuff but I'm sure the MSDS will tell you.

Interesting point I just read mentions it takes a few minutes longer to blister but you don't need to use it as many times on the same spot.
It's 1,3-Dioxalane that has replaced it (and some naptha)
all rather geeky, sorry.

Tried Nitromors and it was useless, then used POR15 Stripper - quick and clean did this in 2 coats.
