Oh man...I think I just became a collector

If i was going to collect i would do hubs. There are so many materials, shapes, colours and designs and it would be quite an journey from steel high flange flip flop hubs with wingnuts to Sturmey Archer 3 speeds and on to todays carbon exotica that weigh about the same as the ball bearings in the latter! With some natty photography and history it could make a good coffee table book.

The hardest, weirdest thing is that, of that short list, three different unicorns, for different reasons, have all arrived on my doorstep or within my reach in the past six months. I didn't expect that! I can't afford that! But hey, I'm rolling with it for now.
