Oh i forgot to put the death out !

When I was younger I used to have irrational fears that if I went to sleep I was going to die, these fears were very real and extremely scary, I was so convinced by it I would try to keep awake and would find myself in the morning slumped in some corner of the room where I had tried to stand to stay awake. They finally went when I was hit by a car on my bike and suffered head injuries not severe but enough of a knock to have some effect. I am still very scared of death and feel I've hardly lived and yet probably only have about 20 years useful life left.

But on the bright side I do have children and enjoy seeing them grow up.

be careful where you sleep there may be danger ?

Ahem to that brother..the amount of times I've woken up and the beer goggles have worn off and I looked at the girl of that night and thought..jeeez did I really drink that much...only to hear the girl go in the bathroom and for her say exactly the same thing

If it helps to make ya smile...knowing someday I will end up in a nursing and some poor sod will be wiping cack off my arse, I decided to plan ahead...I had a W tattood on each arse cheek to give the poor carer a chuckle as she performs the daily necessary

LOL like it ! :D .....i could tell you a couple of funnys about care homes !

plus i was so drunk once i only saw the girls eyes on the way back.........when i awoke in her shadow ! to the snoring like that of a bear .....!!

plus Isaac_AG thanks for that, some wouls say having kids can settle your own fear of death as you have suceeded in continuing your genetic line.....any truth to that ?

I must admit, continuing in an aging body would get tiresome if it just kept on getting physically worse

I really don't mean to be flippant, but you'll have to come to terms with it or you won't enjoy the life you have.

I do respect what you've said, but do you think many of us really come to terms with death unless, we have been forced to by very old age or bad news from the doctors ? is it even possible ? after all life is for the living.

Even though i know death is going to happen to me and everyone and thing, the idea of not existing is abhorrent to say the least.

I used to be religious and that can help people through the journey and death, but, can't say i have a cushion for it anymore. Guess i'm going to be a choker and splutterer when it comes

Death never bothered me at all... until my daughter arrived.

The thought that some day I will die, and have to leave her, eats at me like cancer.

Need wine.

Agreed, although i often of thoughts of me not living past mid 30's or so. Who knows.

At the mcretro christmas night out i suggested Bo'vine a very expensive restaurant in Glasgow, hoping theyd go for it but not thinking they actually would given the prices.
They went for it and after meeting at a nice bar for a pre drinky we all tottered down.
Admittedly the guys were a little put out by the prices so were opting for the cheaper end of the menu.I really wanted the chateaubriand[medium rare] and as it was for 2 needed one of them to split it with me[£40]
TK said he liked that but the price was high and when you include the starters etc would work out at about 40 each.
He hummed and he hawed so i said to him
Planning on doing anything special AFTER you die
That swung it but i dont think his kids did so well that Christmas

Sorry little peeps but it was fantastic and well worth your presents ;)
