Love it, what a transformation, the colour scheme was so much better the year before wasnt it. harks me back to 1990 when I bought a 550, I binned the brakes and fitted some Hydrostops and whapped on some white onza tyres . ...... cool as!

Given two pairs of Manitous I probably would too but they sit even better and are getting use on the P7 in the wild now. The die spring setup I did on those feels really good. Can’t recall all these years later what elastomer forks felt like, but pretty sure it’s a big improvement.

Seems to happen to so many cool colour schemes, they get toned down. My KHS was the same (50% fluro pink to 100% slate grey between '93 to '94); Kliens got toned down. Everything seems to be just a matt autumn colour these days.

Basically done now. Turned a pedal for the first time today. Refilled the Maguras after getting a rear mount set off eBay last week (booster being painted) and cabled up the rear derailleur. I’ll leave the front derailleur until the brake booster is ready to give the frames paint as much time to dry where the clamp will go as poss.

It's been close for a while but it's now fully finished and had its first ride today...
The elastomers are stiff and it feels almost rigid but it rides nicely. I sort of expected it to be a disappointment but I could ride this and have some fun. The Magura's are great. Why didn't everybody have these before disc brakes??
