Re:

Yes, .... and yes, a tad smaller.

your only other option is to contact the guys at icetrikes, after a chatting to a chap at york cycle rally I found they had used the same elastomertechnology on there trikes, in fact I he said it was actually derived from a proflex he had.

gotta be worth dropping a line for some specs on the replacements they can perhaps offer.

PS .... they do a really cool off road recumbent

Having agreed with the seller a token compensation for the damage (i couldn't realistically be bothered to ship it back in the current environment) I've cracked on with the tear down...

Incoming set of Megura rim brakes that'll need some TLC to get back to there best. My dream proflex had to have yellow Meguras. Won these yesterday for 1/3rd of the price of a (still) yellow pair that also sold in an auction yesterday.

there are other options too.
- first, I sell aftermarket (reproduction) parts, yellow like the originals. there's a thread in the buy/sell section
- there is also a company in the US that specializes in elastomers, but theirs is more translucent (suspensionforkparts.net) and a LOT harder than mine

The MT62 DX thumbies benefited from a repaint of the chassis and my first attempt a blueing steel on the nuts/bolts. They look pretty good...
