Re:

Didn't know about that Scott al!

What's the story?

For me, a Fisher Procaliber Paola Pezzo replica

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gary-Fisher-Pao ... 7675.l2557

As ridden by my mtb heroine

I would sell several at vastly reduced prices to fund one of these.

And yes, I know it's a ' Trek era ' Fisher, but I don't give a hoot.

It's what I'd like more than any other. . . . . .

Other than a Ritchey P20 in team colours!

Mike

Re:

This is a post from the owner of the CST Mike.

Here's a frame I found on eBay from 2001.It's a 1992 Scott Unitrack CST painted in the Team Ritchey colors over the stock white and silver paint found on CSTs.
It is said that this bike was raced at the '93 Suisse World Cup downhill race by Thomas Frischknecht while He raced for Ritchey. He now races for Scott.
There was a photo of Frischknecht riding a CST downhill during the '93 championships and you can see the distinctive seat-stay brake cable hoop.Though the photo was in black and white,it shows the frame is painted white. His website has now been changed and I can't find the photo.
The CST was used by Frischy before Ritchey came out with their own soft-tail for the 1994 season.
However,in the RitcheyReader Content Pdf,the team mechanic stated they used a Ritchey soft-tail with a Scott Unishock fork in 1993.
From what I can tell after some research into Ritchey bikes,a Ritchey soft-tail didn't arrive until the '94 season or after. Anyways, sometime after the race, the bike was painted the team colors. Some people have say this is his bike but so far,no response from Scott for confirmation. I'm just waiting...
I built up the frame using parts from a 1993 CST so the build isn't accurate. This bike has Shimano XTR derailluers hooked up to XT top-mounts.The race photo showed a grip-shift/Rapidfire mix and a later Scott Unishock fork. I'm using a Sach-Maillard 12/24 straight-block and 46/36/24 XT crankset and the CST is a bit on the heavy side so climbing can be a bit slow compared to my other bikes.
However, downhilling on this bike is a blast.Even though it only has between 1.5" to 2" of travel,it was able to absorb the ruts and washboards.
If anyone can help with information on the Ritchey soft-tails or any info on the '93 Suisse World Cup races,I'd appreciate it big-time

Re:

Thanks al,

Didn't know TF raced downhill at all. I'm sure he was an xc legend!

Now going to look up the Scott in the archive section. Hope it's there.

BTW, your cranks should be with Fiona tomorrow!
