Nuovo Record RD tension spring position? NEW PHOTO

I took apart my NR rear derailleur for cleaning and naturally didn't take note of how the tension spring was inserted in the spring cage cover. Anybody know which is the default/stock position?

Left hole (seen on the inner plate in the photo) seems to result in lower tension for the pulley assembly.

EDIT: Okay, maybe that question wasn't as clear as I thought it was. Here's a better picture. Anybody know into which hole, L or R, to insert the end of the tension spring?
