Re: We had to say goodbye to our lovely cat
Ill stop you there LGF, it wasn't 'just a cat' twas a much loved member of the family, albeit small, furry and 4wd, but still a family member!!
I lost one of my cats two years ago too early, she had a growth in her throat and couldnt eat properly and wasnt happy, she had the silkiest smooth fur ive ever known, but she almost couldnt groom herself properly nearer the end, i couldnt be there when the vets said we had to decide whether to let her struggle on or be put to sleep, was gutted for that but it was the best decision for her!
The vets sent us a condolence card a few days later with the photo they took of her before she went out as the front, we have now had this framed as its the last photo of the most loving cat ive ever encountered, we still have a cat, she is about four years old now and absolutely mad, she brought two live mice, and a live goldfish home last week, all survived lol!
Try and remember the good times and the quirky things your little one used to do, will cheer you up a little bit (i hope) and maybe in a few days consider getting a kitten, it will never replace your Pixi, but it will entertain (as all kittens do) and slowly earn your love/aid with the grieving!
(Btw, the first line was a tongue in cheek telling off, im sure youll guess that but wanted to make sure you wouldnt take it as me having a pop at you!)
