I've found Cornwall a bit challenging: getting between the lovely destinations, I always seemed to end up on narrow lumpy lanes between thorny banks - but "sharing" with large vehicles with little respect for cyclists.My wife and I did some of the Derbyshire peak district which was very pretty. I've read exactly the same, narrow, hilly and dangerous lanes with high hedges both sides like the Bocage.Top cruiser!

Modern mapping might make it better?

Mine too.I do like a boss mounted front carrier, as it allows the fork to remain sprung
- although lowriders are my choice
