Dawes Double Five. Quite rare 1970s model, especially in this condition. Needs a nice period correct rack imo.

I think your on the right track

Rudge Pathfinder. Lamp bracket is on the wrong fork leg, it's a left hand bracket.

Really like these hub and derailleur setups and see they are making a comeback on 1x road and gravel bikes. Didn't realise that Sachs did a two speed hub, looks good

I love the look of those fully fledged touring bicycles without derailleurs, just a chainring and a cog and a symmetric chain. Perfection that is to me.

Definitely, it's all about the symmetry, everything became perfectly aligned whilst on my signs of spring ride Sunday.. you did say train line
