Not mine, but a clubmate is selling his '96 Klein

I'm not into monkey-metal bikes, but I know some of you like Kleins, and this one sounds like it's good value.

a much beloved 1996 klein mtb for sale.

medium sized
orange (sunset yellow or whatever klein describe it as)
kona project 2 forks
mix of lx and old xt brakes and gears.
xc panaracer tyres and slicks if you want.
bonty race lite wheels and hubs

great bike but may need a little tune up. going to oz for good so my favourite bike ever didnt get a visa.

Oh FFS, I'm trying to get people who might be interested in a bike in contact with somebody who's selling one. I have no interest in the transaction other than doing a good deed.

Are you sure it's not a '97 model in Koi colour?

I guess a few of the Klein fans out there will be interested as 96 to 97 is the year where Klein became Trek. Can also be easy verified if it has a threaded bottom bracket.

Frame number will give age. Looks like a 97/8 to me. 1 1/8" headset. Pretty sure that '96 frames had MC2 which this one doesn't have.
