I meant admiring - not admitting hahaha!!
This going to be entered into BoTM? I’d love to se sit there and win if you do. Not just cos I’ve been following and admiring this build or the Venturi connection but it’s just so so nice and also Italian ! (My Scapin been entered for this months BoTM9:cool:
it will be worth it !!! I did a euro build once here:
https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/raleigh-dynatech-decade.417325/page-4That had sachs new success and Campag with a dash of Goldtec and Xlite

Yeah I'm gonna put it in the Euro BOTM in Nov. Debating between version 2.1 and 2.2 but it'll be something.

Keep meaning to do a Campy build but am uncertain I will live long enough to get all the parts together; kind of inclined to do as you did, just start slowly mixing it in with the Sachs stuff. The cranks were made by Campy anyway; that's my story and I'm sticking to it

Looks like this thing is gonna dodge two bullets. It survived one hurricane by the hair of its chinny-chin-chin ... we were flooded by Helene not quite a meter deep in brackish water; bike was about three inches above the high water mark. Happen to have it on the road with me so it won't be within 600 miles of ole Milton, which I expect will complete the transformation of our neighborhood into Pandaemonium. We'll be fine; I do feel for the folks in Asheville NC tho. The Bike Thrift Shop where I got my Ritchey got destroyed by Helene, looks like it was hit with a 500lb bomb

Ok here's the Pan European edition. FRM frame, headset and bars. Complete Sachs New Success group set. New Success hubs laced to 230 rims.

The brakes are beautiful, super nice levers. Not sold on the grip shifters but I'll take her for a ride tomorrow just so I can say I did

That looks beautiful
Very very nice work
I’ll be voting for this

Great thread! Thanks for entering for BOTM as otherwise I would have probably missed this thread! You know you’re asking for trouble when you decide to create a European build but live in the US! 😜🤣👍
