Norco Rampage

Hey all, just picked this up for a sinfully cheap price. Fork is completely dead which is a bummer but I know nothing about this model and don’t normally pursue Norco brand bikes as I associate them with low end department store type bikes. In saying that this frame has Ritchey drop outs, made from Tange Ultimate Ultrastrong tubing has LX M560 cantilever brakes and hubs, Mavix 231 wheels with DT Swiss spokes. I do not know what the fork is Im sure someone here can enlighten me and hopefully tell me it can be rebuilt with ease😉. Grip shift 3x8 works very well though cables are trash. XT M730 derailleurs front and rear and some awesome Brodie brake boosters to top it off. Seat post is unkown and stuck fairly deep into the seat tube so challenge accepted there. Was hoping the Bontrager bar was titanium but have my doubts. IMG_5490.jpeg IMG_5481.jpeg IMG_5482.jpeg IMG_5483.jpeg IMG_5484.jpeg IMG_5485.jpeg IMG_5486.jpeg IMG_5487.jpeg IMG_5488.jpeg

Nice find! The Bonty bar looks Titec Ti, nice, the Marzocchi XC fork were a decent low travel fork, worth a rebuild, I'd swap it for a quality rigid fork though but that's just me 😁

Growing up in Calgary Alberta and getting bit by the bike bug in the late 80s I was not keen on the Norco brand BITD (bike snob issues setting in 😂) I was more interested in the Rocky Mountains and Brodies, etc BITD, it wasn't until Norco took a big lead in the 2000s and 2010s with the full suspension freeride movement that I changed my opinion. All the while Norco has been one of the best Canadian brands all along. Always putting out quality lineups from way back in the 80s. Might not have the same name brand clout but this frame is a great example of the quality they offered BITD.

Looks like a great frame, Tange Ultimate? 👍 Who needs better?

@90's Ninja is a bit of a Norco expert, he got me my Rampage, a purple 94. Norco was definitely sneaking some good bikes in along with the "department store" stuff.
He also provided me with a little catalog info, hopefully it's of use to you

Don't bother looking for my build thread, it's already 9 pages long, and I haven't attached a single part yet

Thanks @MattiThundrrr appreciate the information. I’ve studied the web information I could gather on the bike and determine it to be a 1995 year model. Im not sure if the bike was sold as frame only but guess the owner added upgraded parts to make it their own. Either way Im torn on what to do with ot. Right now my thoughts are to sell off a lesser bike and replace it with this one. Might as well upgrade the fleet while holding numbers in check🤓
