NOLEEN REAR SHOCK

Sorry for the huge bump, but I don't like starting my own ones when chat is already underway. I have a Noleen rear shock which is empty/dead, on my Proflex 957 and want to see about recharging it. Best effort at the moment seems to be buying a complete unit from the US for about 200 bucks.

Is there a way to recharge these? There appears to be some form of valve underneath a screw & O-ring on the reservoir but willing to bet its not just a case of pumping it up again.....

All I *think* I know is that it's a nitrogen charge - if you know someone who can do these then you might be ok.

TDIfurby - About getting your noleen shock refilled with nitrogen, I had to send my nr2 off to get my nitrogen refilled, I sent it to Mick Gardner Racing based in Yorkshire, they are help to do and deal with Ohilins. The cost would be between £15-£30.

I hoppe that helps and anybody else that needs to know, where to send there Noleen shocks too. They possibly do services.

And this is how I've left the bike today. More work once I get the shock sorted. Now after some wheels & rear cassette as my Mavic SUP ceramics are well beyond re-use.....

is that a 957?

I thought the 957 had carbon crossover girvin front shocks and rear carbon swing arm

I bought it in 2000 and the previous owner fitted the Pace forks. The carbon swingarm is original, but it looked so manky I ended up sanding it smooth, priming and painting to match the rest of the paintwork. Really it should be polished alloy for oem frame look, but like my cars, I love black paintwork....
