Folders! Foldable bicycles, minivelos and demontables

Should I buy this:

I think the idea is that if you take the wheels out, the length and height of the whole package is smaller than a 700 wheel.

It could be nicely upgraded... replace my small small wheel dahon.
I raise the packing will take 2 minutes rather than 30 seconds, but I should save more time than that by riding a full size (ish) bike...

I like the Montagues. If 187,99 pounds is indeed the price, it comes cheap. They are well made bicycles, the US paratroopers use the mtb model. I have used a Dahon with 26" wheels, which is similar and it rides very well.

Bit tired at that price tho
I'll make him a more appropriate offer🤔
Colleague had one that he traveled with, loved it but said the stem/steerer was very flexy. the rest was great. he rebuilt his with an IGH and hub brakes. it took him all sorts of places. doesn't pack down like a 20" but still small enough when all folded. whip the pedals off or fit folding pedals to save some width.

The frame might polish up ok, but most of the components look below quality or condition I'll find acceptable.

Worthless components:
Steel Post + guts
Plastic sram mech
Screw on megarange freewheel
Low quality shimano copy brakes
Stamped steel chainring
Single wall rims
Horrible saddle
Gripshift
Basic headset
Plastic pedals
Cheap stem
Cheap bars
Plastic brake lever bodies

All you'd find on a £200 supermarket bso.

And it's dirty and undermaintained.

The only components worth keeping the frameset and tyres🙄

They don't finish them with xt usually, no. All easily replaced, if one would feel the need. Personally I don't see anything wrong with a basic spec, but I don't use the term "bso" either.
