otherwise I would have been in trouble!

You are already - you're just in denial ;)
You've bought a nice bike - do you really believe it will end there?

I think I'm completely out of denial now - just bought project number 2 (the third bike in as many months) yes, she's going to kill me - managed to sneak it into the depths of the cellar - cellar isn't big enough to work on it, so not quite sure how I going to get away with this....

OK, so not anything special, but something I hankered after bitd - my mate had one and I lusted after the wishbone stays..... It's a 1989 (by my reckoning) Muddy Fox Courier Comp. I couldn't resist, put a speculative bid in on eBay early on and forgot about it - ended up picking it up for the grand total of #34.02.

It's a one-owner from new bike, so completely original (and completely rusty, but frame seems to be devoid of rust). Original plan was to repair and replace back to factory spec, but I remember why I hated those Exage Country brake levers bitd - so I think I will upgrade it with the sort of period bits I would have done bitd (sad, I know!)

So, a complete strip down is called for (and try and find someone with a vice as the seat-post hasn't budged after two days and a whole can of WD40)

Oh, and before anyone says it, yes it is a gate (22"), but I am 6"4 and planning to use this on roads :D

Sorry for the bad pics - camera phone, but will start a build thread soon (if she doesn't catch me)
