Newbie - 1995 Kona Cinder Cone - Refurb

All the catalogues and spec sheets I've seen so far have said the '95 Cinder Cone came with P2s or Marzocchi XC51's

They're also listed as having SRT600's.......but, some things say they're 7 speed, whilst others say they're 8 speed

Righty Ho

I've just bought some forks from a chap in Spain

Can you guys let me know what the shipping costs are likely to be to get them to me?
The seller says the shipping costs are €30

Does that sound right, or is it a little bit high?

Thanks all

Depends who he uses. I have had a similar problem sending to Europe. Once the weight is a certain amount. Parcel force don't care if it's 2kgs or 22kgs. Your into the same cost bracket. 30 euros does seem a little high though.

If you need help with paint codes for your bike, check out the link below in my signature.
Good luck with the build!

Thanks Rad

Yours in another of the bikes that I've saved loads of pictures of

Hopefully mine will be halfway as good as yours is

After a bit of a long delay I've managed to get an impact headset

So, now I just need a XT739 bottom pull 28.6 from mech and I'm ready to get going

The weather was nice today, so I decided to sit outside and fit some of the new bits I'd bought for the bike

I still need a new front mech and saddle, but I've been waiting for long enough, so thought I should get on with things.

I've changed the....

Bars
Stem
Shifters
Grips
Brake levers
Headset
Forks
Brakes
Crank
Rear mech

Still got a bit to do, but thought I'd add a picture for everyone

The fork is a '96 NOS one. I don't know whether to paint it the correct colour for the '95 model, or try and swap it for a '95 fork if/when one comes up

Also, what do people think about the tyres?
Should I buy an all black pair, or should I change them for some with a light coloured sidewall to pick up on the gold parts of the bike?
