New Shoes...recommendations?

Decided its about time to replace my old Shimano spud boots.
Anyone have any recommendations...always thought Northwave were meant to be good?
I have quite broad feet, so nothing too slim-line

Carl, try and get down to your local specialised dealer. They have a large selection of shoes, and also have this footbed-o-meter thing.
Helped me out no end, after i used to suffer from hot spots in the arches of my feet :evil: Basically it measures the arch of your foot, then recommends which wedges to use :!: I now use these in every pair of shoes i own.
Always try them on first though I've brought shoes before on looks, off websites, and then when it comes to ridding with them thought,
i can't ride in these :roll:

I used to have a pair of Northwave terrae shoes, which were a little snug (I mistakenly thought the padding would give over time, it didn't )

I now have a pair of Spesh BG Sport shoes & they are very very comfy, highly recommended.

Another vote for specialized, bg sports have the comp road shoes and frankly prefer the velcro strap over the ratchet.

Pearl izumi - nice wide toe box for the wide footed.

I really like pearl izumi kit, there shorts are a favourite, but I had one pair of shoes, the black bit turned green and the zip broke, they also weighed a ton.

Recommend Specialized deffo, I've got wide feet and a high instep. Fit like a glove (Boom Boom) plus the BG thingy is very good.
