This channel is notorious for sharing dodgy hacks. I suspect they do it because they get plenty of arguments in the comments and therefore views. That said if I had a BSO, no tools and could actually remove the seat post I might consider this hack.

I have seen some bizarre hacks but this one is one of the better ones if you haven't got tools, or the cups are never coming out! A good amount of thin oil to flush the bearing and then chase that with some much thicker oil to finish. It isn't the correct way to do it at all, but good enough to get by on. It is much the same as oilers on old BB shells, or total loss lubrication, which both have thier place and are correct.
