New project - frame identity?

Hi All,

Im after some help identifying a frame I am doing up as a winter project!

I have already stripped all the paint off ready to be sprayed, I thought stripping it would reveal a frame number but there is hardly anything on it!

On the BB there is a '&' symbol stamped and on the bottom side of the top tube lug there is 'hg0' (I think..), I believe the frame is made from reynolds 501 tubing and I don't know anything else to be honest!

Help would be appreciated!

The shape of the lugs, the seat cluster arrangement, seat stay/BB interface and the canti bridge all look very similar to those used by Claud Butler frames in the late 1980's and early 1990's.

Oddly enough, that was my first thought when I saw the picture, particularly the seatstay arrangement.

Thanks for your help guys! I'll see if I can find some catalogues to look through to help me decide on a color scheme.
