I guess it does look like a La Ruta. While I love my son, I don't love him that much!

Oh, and he's 8. That's the key bit of info that makes this frame rare...

Re:

It's a 1995 Zaskar in 'Shimano Youth Series' size, created as a kit for use with 24" wheels. Very cool if so!

Do I win :?:

Is it a zaskar?

I thought I had the perfect answer.
If it wasn't it was a joke.
If the crossed seat stays and top top extension were real I could've been right.
Well, I didn't say it wasn't a Zaskar

I'm with THM here

What's wrong with first guess being a Zaskar
After all it does look very much like a GT to me, and lets face it you just wouldn't bother to get exited about bargain basement Pantera

I get the standing joke as well, "hi I'm new here is this GT a Zaskar followed by does anyone want to buy it?"

Lets have a dry roll....... Yah dah.. Its a ????

:D

Re: New mystery build!

Thank you for your support Nigel.

Do I win a quality street in the colour of my choosing?

If so I choose the one they dropped this year (b#stards) the hard square toffee coated in chocolate and wrapped in coffee brown foil.

Re:

I like the paint job. I'd like one of the long thin cracknel quality streets..where did they go?

You can have half a Quality Street for being very close!

It is indeed a Zaskar, but a little more unusual than the run of the mill Zaskars everyone lusted after BITD.

A box of Quality Street (or equivalent -- not Heroes, obviously. Cadburys have ruined them) to anyone who can guess the specific model. I think there are enough clues above
