Xc 717 new for £70.. 2 rims.. Long wait.
This is definitely worth it...
Brand new hg 50 cassette as well.
My man at lbs charges £60 per wheel build.. this includes cost of spokes..

Yes, got my maths wrong - my local chap is £50 per wheel, so well worth it! They mention it's a SRAM cassette though - must just be a Shimano locknut for looks but still...just a bit too far for me to warrant the drive...

Building wheels isn't actually very difficult. With the aid Jobst Brandt's book I taught myself to build wheels when I was about thirteen ! I would encourage everyone to have a go.
