Hello, Im about o build a new old school Klein 92 size frame, not same shape as Klein, just different similar to Mantra, but no suspension, target sub 1.0 Kg (might be magnesium).. first I will probably make a prototype in ALU 6000

Designing in Solidworks, now I need to know the head size. Do you know which size uses the MC1 header / steering (I dont know the tecnical name in English sorry Im Spanish)

Which is te diameter ? (of Klein MC1 frames)

Re:

I assume you are looking for dimensions for the ID and OD of the bearings. The bearing ID will match the OD of the fork steerer tube since it is a press fit. If you are intending to use stock forks and bar/stem I suggest you purchase the bearings from one of the couple of painter/restorers on this site and build your frame to fit. If you are going with a custom fork and bar/stem, consider standard taper steerer sizes. Best of luck and look forward to your progress.

Re:

Hi goodyes,

The bearings of MC1 headsets are B543-2RS (1-9/16x2x9/32" or 39,7x50,8x7,14 mm).

External diameter: 2" or 50,8 mm
Internal diameter: 1-9/16" or 39,7 mm.
Width: 9/32" or 7,14 mm

PM if you want (in spanish)

Regards.
