new commuter giant boulder 550

i will give it a go when i nip back home to the shire, sure there's a couple of old wheels knocking about. thanks for that

Ye thanks jussa, cant wait to get them on her will take some pics an post when fitted. Has any one fitted a quill adapter ? if so can you give me an idea of what is entailed and what tools i will need or should i just get my lbs to do it ?

If it's like the one I used years ago all it is is basically a stem without the stem if you get me?? Normal quill fitting that drops into the headtube as per your standard stem with the top a piece of 1 1/8th"/1¼"/1" tube to attach your standard ahead stem to.

Nope it's an easy 2 minute job. Simply loosed the allen bolt in the top and your old stem will slide out the headtube then drop the adaptor in and tighten the bolt up, job done!

thats just what i wanted to hear, now i have just got to wait for the parts to get here. might take all the decals off tonight, still abit unsure

I'm sure I don't need to warn you, but be careful if you're using a heat gun AND meths!

Agreed, Hair dryer and some WD40 helps lift them off then some T-Cut or Nail Varnish Remover to get the residue sticky from the decals.

*Obviously ask the missue before sitting there with her Loreal Hair Dryer and Clinique Nail Varnish Remover.........I am speaking from expierience ;)
