I have published a new article on my On the Drops blog site:

"In Fast Company: Raleigh Club Cycles 1934-1942"

https://on-the-drops.blogspot.com/2020/ ... ycles.html

This covers the Raleigh and Humber club cycles of this period, considered to be a heyday of both Raleigh as a company and of club cycling before the Second World War.

Among the models covered are the Raleigh Super Sports/Golden Arrow, Raleigh Record and Silver Record, Super Club and the first Lenton Sports as well as the Humber Streak, Clipper and Beeston Club.

As always, corrections/additions are welcomed

Thanks for this great article, a real pleasure to read (the last time I read one of your articles, about Vitus 979, I was so intrigued I ended up getting one, searching for ages before finding a Peugeot from 1983, which also introduced me to the delights of French threading and helicomatic hubs, but I won't hold this against you …).

Loved the images in the article, beautiful reminders from a golden age of cycling.

Thank you.
