Wanted 1990 Diamondback Apex or Ascent EX, 20.5”.

What size frame are you after ?. I have a 1990 Apex which aside from the saddle to the best of my knowledge is otherwise all original. I do have an Avenir saddle I could include. I wasn't planning on selling but you know I could possiby have my arm twisted. I'm based in Farnborough/Hampshire

Edit. Just noticed the size in the title. I can't remember what size mine is. I will try and measure it but if I forget feel free to remind me.

Ye 20.5 inch size which is 58.5cm top tube, geo in the pictures. Please do have a measure of it and we can discuss me twisting your arm.

Leave it with me. It's hanging behind some other bikes and I've gone and injured myself. So if my sons in later I will get him to move the others and measure what size it is. I have a suspicion it might be a 19" but not sure.

If that's the paint job you're after (it's my favourite too) then also consider this model of the Axis.....good luck finding one

That’s a 1988 Diamondback Axis, dream bike of mine. I now live 100 yards from a bike shop that sold these back in the day, always have hope that one pops up locally. Considered buying the one in the photos on eBay ‘America’ but postage and taxes just make it a ridiculous price for me. If I won the lottery I’d happily over pay!!!

I have an 89 Apex. The paint job is lovely but unfortunately it just doesn’t have the tire clearance of the 90 models, I have a 90 ascent but I don’t think that frame is even butted. It weighs a ton.

@gtturbo did you get round to checking what size your apex was?

Yep 20.5" centre to the top of seat tube and the top tube is 585mm center to centre. I couldn't find the Avenir saddle I mentioned but 90% sure I have one somewhere. Apart from that grips, tyres and groupset are all original I believe. Even has the supplying dealers sticker which was just up the road from me in Guildford.

If it is of interest feel free to pm me although it is actually quite lovely so you will definately have to twist my arm to let it go.
