i've snapped a set of un-named carbon o/s bars but it was right at the stem :( had a cracker of a lump on my chin for weeks for my efforts

Only place you'll find carbon is on my roadbikes...

Lucky!

I thought these things were tougher now???

havent alu bars broken after 5ft drops before?
to be fair they are designed for 'cross country' .
Ive been using carbon bars for years and i darent ask manufacturers if they use a weight limit on their carbon bars as I weigh approx 2x an average x-country rider.

seeing those pics makes me think about switching back to alu though...
