As an aside, anyone feeling the need to do the Great North Bike Ride this year? I know it is mostly road riding but it was a good crack last year with slicks fitted. However, chasing ure m8 who is on a road bike wasn't

It is on August Bank Holiday Sunday so I'm guessing it may be out of reach for you Dad's out there
