Hi all,

I found this awesome looking MTB from the 90's and wonder what exactly it is. I can barely read the stuff on the side, but I'm betting someone here knows exactly what it is.

Please help!

Thanks very much,
Andre.

I can't see what it is from the photo but from what I can see it looks like something generic and cheap. Happy to be proved wrong though :)

Re:

Whats going on with photo

Is that a mirror/ reflection going on there ?

theres only a single #9 on one if there is,

The mirror image appears to be a thumbnail of the original photo pasted into the enlarged version of the photo. Note how the smaller version displays bike locker #9 whereas the larger photo doesn't.

Its a subtle way to screw with a photo.. :D

I'd clocked the missing #9 but not entirerly sure what was going on with the photo...honestly all that for a rig with the forks set up the wrong way and shod with plastic pedals with built in reflecfors

Re:

I can't work out if the OP is drunk, just having a laugh, Needs to go to specsavers or serious? No offence intended if it's the latter, but going by the writing (and look) it's a nasty Mountec BSO, with as mentioned the mandatory bike in a box wrong way round fork

Re:

It has got the classic wrong way round forks of a catalogue build

and a cheap steel stem, what looks like bolt on wheels, a kick stand and a big spongy saddle. I reckon it's a supermarket or catalogue special.

Thanks for helping, Kult Friction. May your barn always be full of awesome bikes!

I've never seen a Mountec before and thought the graphics were pretty cool. I hadn't noticed the fork was on backwards!

Thank you,
Andre.
