Name that Marin!

Right then me old muckers! steel Marin off white frame fluorescent yellow bars, stem, forks and lettering. Mountain LX groupset so I'm thinking late 80's Eldridge Grade?

What do you recon?

Bit before my Marin obsession began, strictly a Zolotone man really. But with Mountain LX would say prob '88/'89. Fluro Yellow was always a signature for the Palisades but remember seeing an '87 in a magazine that was red all over (the bike, not the mag..). I think the '88 Pine Mountain was all yellow until it handed that paint job over to the Muirwoods in '90. At least you know what it isn't. Sort of. :roll: Benandemu seems to have the know on Marins..

not much help here, i have 89 muirwoods and it was yellow flouro,

I understand though dont quote me, that 89 was the first year for the oversized downtube pre this all tubes the same, the after burners came in in i think 91, so perhaps you can narrow it down a bit, Beneandemu is indeed your man though..

Right this is the bike in question....

The reason I'm thinking higher up the marin food chain was that mountain LX was surely Deore LX's predecessor, wasn't it?

I thinks that is the light grey zolatone from 1990, is it? so tis Marin 90 , eldrigde for that year was orange though
