Ive decided that if I do take on a new retro project, id like to try out an e-stay frame.

;)

As a regular Estay rider I've decided it's easy to simulate riding an Estay without actualy ever sitting on one. Go for a ride on one of your normal bikes and take a hammer with you. Then every time you stop, wallop the inside of your ankles with the hammer. By the end of the ride you'll have a smashing set of bruises on both ankles that will feel just like the ones you would have received from the elevated chain stays if you had been riding an Estay.

do you have problems with doors ?

what are the forks on your yeti? i only ask as they look identical to mine from my verlicchi, and as im dubious that the stickers down my forks may not be the real makers i may have some better luck sourcing bits

No, the doors have stopped following me hurling abuse now thanks.

I don't wallop them on the stays with every pedal stroke either. I do find that on twisty, rooted and bumpy singletrack I do occasionaly hit them on the chain stays and yes, the correct BB is indeed fitted.

most folk ask if i bang my ankles on the e-stays
never found it a problem for me ,but i could see how it can happen

sorry about the door comment

The forks are the original Manutius.
Yours do look almost identical. I'm guessing they must be aftermarket stickers.

Also, I can totally relate to anyone who says they knock their ankles against the e-stays.

Pro Circuit were an actual make of fork. IIrc they were re-worked Manitous or something.

As far as e-stay bikes go Mrazek make some nice modern ones. ;)

*gets ready for the torch and pitchfork carrying mob*
