And it's a 22&1/2 - aka 56 so a completely normal size for a reasonably proportioned person of the male persuasion.
Now does that wb90 mean worksop feb 89 or worksop feb 90?

1990 would be A prefix. A W prefix as you said 1989. Edit, Worksop shut in 1981 they just kept using the prefix.
