Mystery raleigh purchase

I just bought this Local auction but I was at work so only had the photo to go off. Screenshot_20241026-222950_Firefox.jpg I recognise the colour - is it a royal?
We will probably reform it to drop bars, perhaps with stis if there's a suitable 3x8 set around. £30 plus fees, alright my max commission bid was way more.

I hope they don't leave it out in the rain, the Brooks (?) looks ok atm.
Unfortunately most auction houses see bicycles as toys, adult toys.

But not that kind obvs😉

Picked it up today for fear of Welsh autumn weather being incompatible with Brooks saddle value.

This Champion Flyer is quite tidy.

Now back to the frame - it's had a light dusting with rattlecan, although most of the original finish is visible.
531 butted frame tubes, bosses for 700 wheels but still on sloping Dropouts and the front ends yet to be kissed by "lawyers lips" - 1990? IMG_20241028_125408.jpg

Graphics are partial but with some overspray, lacking model name.

lowrider bosses conspicuous by their absence.
Frame number looks like... IMG_20241028_134754.jpg WB9001397.

I see why the light overspray as there's corrosion on the undersides of the tubes. I suspect the PO have it a light sanding then a little paint to tidy it up.
Remote auction purchases never quite look as good as you were imagining🙄
