Hi all!
Just wondering if I'm right in guessing that this would be for a bmx/other (forks with no brake studs) type of bike?
It came attached to a front lever and I can't see any other explanation, but also I can't seem to find any information on it anywhere either. Thanks for any help.

same thing just chrome plated, already in the 1990 brochure,
that means even earlier than Hydro-stop Mountain for MTBs


so this was not specific to road racing or BMX bikes but the initial focus was rather regular touring bikes.

Here in black on a nice Nöll in the 1991 brochure

Thank you...very likely. It was a regular flat bar lever...but that doesn't mean owt.
It is bloody heavy though...probably equal to the rest of a light road bike.

Yes, they were heavy that's why they never really caught on with roadies. Perfect for town bikes and the like though.

Found this crank in a box of spare parts and have absolutely no idea what it is. Looks like an astronaut to me, the left arm is a bit scruffier where it’s reacted to moisture or whatever.
