Myles is an amazing human. Had some bad luck in his career, but that got put right winning the Worlds DH with Giant in 2000, and also suffered a massive personal tragedy with the death of his teenage son some years back. Love the guy, he’s a solid and decent bloke who worked his ass off to get where he got, but without the bad luck would’ve been so much more successful. Rode with him last year. When I overtook him riding down the Tamarancho trail I yelled at him “I just overtook the 2000 downhill world champ”. He was laughing his ass off. Then for the rest of the day/night time I bumped I to him I’d go “Hey Myles, remember that time I passed you?!”
