if you cant get them right off, just twist them out of the way, if the bolts wont undo, they are usually hollow so you can use smaller bolts

Interesting. I've always used a cheap clutch puller with an adapted head made from a hardened bolt.

But that's quite a cool bit of kit.

Just so I get what is going on....the mounted cranks had a stripped thread for the extractor right - hence stuck?
