My obsession with cranksets

I can see why

Because they are so fantastic!

Yes, I'm with you on that, rare as Hen's Knickers!

Harder to find than a sensible politician!

Or are you one of 'those' not bothering to look past the name? These are USA made and if they had ANY other brand name on them it would be a different story.

I'm off to glare at another Manitou frame until it cracks.

None of the above really. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say, to me it's very poor from an engineering design and that detracts from the aesthetics.

No one said they were 'beautiful'! Just not seen any before or since.

And those /\/\/\/\ show us that it wasn't just the 1990's mtb scene that was daft

Ok, so not quite so sexy as all those wonderful and often bonkers chainsets, I present the Vuelta CNC compact chainset.

The only Googly reference I can find is my own picture from 2009, it took ten years to wrestle them from a neighbour

I have yet to see another set

Re:

Haven’t been on RB for years but during lock down I’ve become very nostalgic! Some of those cranks are awesome and I remember wanting many of them! When it came to me being able to afford my first custom build I managed to acquire these Caramba Double Barrels!! Thought you might appreciate them!
