I also read it on your oldmetal blog and mountainbike.nl and was very shocked it got stolen, pfff I can imagine if my Adroit gets stolen, well, geee....

Did it look like the photo at the top of the thread when it was stolen then? Or are they that rare that it was worth taking the chance when you saw it advertised, because only the frame and forks are the same in the other pix?

Obviously seeing it at first hand you can check frame number etc, but other than that they're two different bikes in the photo's...

I only ask due to the good fortune involved!

I once spotted a bike of mine that had been stolen - in the cycle shed of the office where I worked! When I queried it with the 'owner' he was very evasive until I pulled the seat/post and fished out the laminated note from the seat tube that said 'This bike is stolen - please call 07700 ******' - his face was a picture, and I got my bike back...
