Just wondering whether you used a fine wire wool on your rims before the polish? There's a fair bit of surface rust on the inside of my rims and not sure what's the best way to approach removing it..
Hello mate. I raided the missus' stash of old washing up sponges with a really knackered scourer type top..almost worn smooth. She keeps a pile of these for me to use on my old Beetle and camper. I used those with lots of washing up liquid mixed strongly, this also acts as a lubricant. Followed up with Autoglym metal polish, the one in a toothpaste type tube. Autosol is also great. I prefer this method to wire wool, which I feel more risky after a mishap with swirl marks with an old car bumper, but everyone has their preferences. My method worked pretty well for me.
Cheers....and your bike looks cool by the way :)
