My Kona Explosif -97

Hi all,

I wanted to introduce my new Retro-ride to you. Got it in this afternoon and I must say I'm very pleased. This is my first Kona so far but I know these are highly appreciated bikes. I bought it from the first owner, size 18" c-t and in original condition excl. tires. Even the chain and brake blocks are og, so this have not seen more than a few thousand km:s. It have few chips and chainmarks on the paint, anyone knows the orig. paint code? Also couple of stickers have little rubbed off. Fork seem to be in very nice condition, but overall I think Indy SL's are a bit too flimsy, very light though. So, I might change the fork in near future.

Great color! and great condition. But also the crankset and stem seem not original, not that it matters too much though:

So I first thought also, but those parts haven't changed, so could it be that manufacturer have spec'd these different for some scandinavian countries? Or changed by Finnish importer? The stem is Kona logoed. Bike also differs from the ad by the mavic 220 rims and xt brake levers.

Awesome. From Ferndale to Finland, old Kona's just look right - especially in the woods. Nice one.
