Re: 1990s Gios Evolution

Hi 1st post , been a long time lurker / viewer .
I had a Gios like yours which i bought new from Paul Hewitt , when he had the Deeside Cycles shop in Coppul Lancs .It was built with 8 speed Campagnolo Veloce , must of been '92 or '93 .
As far as i know , Deeside cycles sold this model exclusively , having bought all of the stock in this colour scheme direct from Gios . I was lead to believe that the frames were intended to be built as training frames for a new professional team sponsored by Benetton , the team was going to be headed by Maurizio Fondriest but it never got off the ground . Not sure how true that was , but i always liked the story .
You have got yourself a good frame there , lots of detailing on it , mine was sold on , seeing yours is getting me thinking i should start looking for another one .

Re: 1990s Gios Evolution

Looking good , and nice that there may be some truth in the "Benetton" story .
There are a couple on ebay at the moment in the same colour scheme .

Re:

and it's had another makeover... the final one. A 'neo-classical' build.

shimano just wasn't right on this frame.

Re-spaced the back properly to 130mm

Gios Evolution 60cm
Campagnolo Chorus 9 speed Groupset w. Record Carbon Shifters
