problem number 2. bars are too narrow and grips wont fit

arrrrrgh what douche cut these as narrow as a pair of grips+ brake levers?

Just shorten the grips a bit. Hold them at the end as they are and you won't be able to reach the brakes anyway.

As it stands I'd have to lose 50% of the grips to get the end plugs in. Plus...the brake levers aren't even on yet and no doubt they won't fit either due to the bend ((

The grips would normally be much shorter when gripshift are used (not that I cut mine)
Not 50% though, probably just to the ring you can see. Also don't forget the plastic spacer or two between shifter and lever.
But the grips for look pretty long.

Though probably to short and somebody just using brakes and grips cut them down... Who knows
