My first mountain bike project. A Fisher CR7

I'm happy to have found this forum! I just picked up a Fisher CR7 on Ebay a few weeks ago and I'm really enjoying the bike. The bike looks great from about 10 feet away. It was painted by the previous owner and they just painted around the decals. So my intentions are to powder coat the frame at some point. It will be a fun project. I'm going for more of a custom project rather than a restoration.

I do remember a review of the CR7 in an old MBUK where they tested it up in the Pyrenees...quite a innovative bike really with that bolt on rear end

Looks great in the photos too. Make sure you photograph the decals carefully so you can make copies if you neeed to.

Thanks for the kind comments. As far as a color goes I'm considering either a light blue or a forest green for the front frame.

The components on the bike are as follows:

STX rear derailleur
XT front derailleur
XT Crankset 165mm
XT Brakes
XT pedals
Araya RM17 Rims
XT Hubs
Fisher Bulge handlebar
Fisher Stem
Sram MRX Gripshifters

I believe it is all original except the shifters.
