my dog and the mess he makes!!!

may grow owt of this;i have just had to clear up after one of mine
with the wind today ones gone mad  got two staffy cross breads
ones 16 tothers 12 :D

I want lol.
Moving here I've not seen a staff or anything interesting? All handbag dogs or stray mongrels. In Blackpool there's hundreds we re named them Blackpool staffs there's that many, mostly owned by wana be thugs who have hoods up in summer. Shame as it stereo types the breed which shouldn't happen as they are true quality bred that's not been diluted.

heres a pic of louie a few years back.this is the one i lost last feb.i hear you about the bad press etc.im sure theres plenty of dog lovers on here anyway!! :xmas-big-grin:

Lovely looking dogs, Bert. But, looking at the mattress, I think I'm glad we have AC (Arthritic Cat) :?
I always wonder why staffies have a bad reputation? I've never had one myself but have known plenty of people who have had them and they always seem such lovely natured dogs. Is it because they have a similarity to Pitbulls or is it because, if they get in the wrong hands they can be trained to be aggressive?

your last line is nail on the head stuff mate"

if they get in the wrong hands they can be trained to be aggressive?

indeed..however thats the same as any dog whos got crap owners. :)

In a previous life I had a job that took me to places that often had aggressive dogs - so I ended up with a very healthy respect(read: fear) for dogs like rottweillers and yet I've also known people with Rotties that are total pussycats.
I also came across plenty of nasty snappy little dogs that would have had my fingers off as soon as look at me...
Once met a staffie that had been treated badly til it was rescued - it had brain damage which affected its balance and if it ran, it ran round in circles.

The idea of keeping your dogs off 'human' furniture is more than just for convenience. It underlines territory.

Dogs are much less likely to attack and destroy anything you have claimed as territory.

had a staff, absolutely amazing dog, loved walks but had to carry its own lead, never left my side, calm as anything but was good to play with, amazing with the little uns too, they could drag her around by her tail, pull her ears, do anything and she wouldnt flinch, amazing dogs and will be having another. heres my little girl, had her since she was a pup. got two other dogs too.. all of them lie on the sofas and beds.. no issues with them...
greyhound doing well at 10 years old now
buster the german shephard X akita only a year old but good dog
and sapphire the staffy best dog ive ever had

I have a "associate" who has a dog with a docked tail and no ears? It FOOOKIN hates wind rain and anything loud, not surprised considering rain goes straight down its lugs it's a Akita no tail n ears gone. He a queried it from somewhere not a nice dog it's damaged personally if dogs can be?
