Nice component choice, especially the forks, I bet it rides well.

How come you didn't go for an XTR front Mech?

It does ride lovely, the forks are really plush, I rebuilt them with fresh paint and a custom spring kit and elastomer set to stop them being to bouncy.

Truth be told, I didn't have an M900 front mech the correct size/pull, but the XT does a perfect job and in use I don't think there is really anything in it performance wise.

Oh and I have taken the plunge for BOTM :facepalm:

I'm with you. I don't there is much in it performance wise. The M900 stuff does look sweet though...

Rolling on a Smoke on the rear too, my favourite tyre from back in the old days.
