My bikes.

The Royal is done, that makes three. Jo hadn't realised I had twins 😁 two 708 and a 531.
I used the Randonneur wheels. Randonneur tape, bars and stem. The Randonneur is now in for a fairly large refit.
They really are a super bike. It is Wabi Sabi as are most of my bikes, but no worse for it. A very useful bike that can be used without worrying to much. Badge is pissed on the saddle, trying to ignore it, I can't see it when my fat arse is on it.

Love this! I have gone a bit more for the Wabi Sabi approach on a couple of builds recently too. I also have a thing for green bikes at the moment 😄

That's lovely Bob! Another great resto!!! 👏

More random components used up and Bob is kept busy so he can't get himself into trouble... a win, win situation!

Disappointed there is no dynamo lighting system though... especially of the bottle variety. I can only imaging the four letter expletives coming out of Bobs shed as he's trying to get one to work consistently... 🤣 🤣 🤣

1988 Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo. I've wanted one of these for about 25 years after I saw my mates.
I bought this off of @Sundayjumper for a bargain price.
Nothing is seized, and it all works, I've ridden it locally three times now. It is a very sweet bike to ride, even my 20 yo son liked it.
I think I will be conserving this rather than a restoration, I want to use as much as I can. It's original apart from saddle and pedals.
The 1988 GF catalogue says it should have Deore hubs. Mombat say it should have Joytech hubs which it does, sealed bearing. This surprised me, usually Joytech are low end. The bearings are still smooth.
For me it needs toe clips, I couldn't ride any distance without. The saddle hurts my backside. So probably get a Pro or B17.
