Tried them on my commuter hardtail. Pretty effective although I need to shim the back one as it moves around. Think it prefers a thicker seatpost than 27.2mm.View attachment 724729
I put these on mine. They stop most of the mud especially at the front where I was getting mouth fulls!
Ph no, you shouldn't put them on horses.I never bothered.....till very recently. I poped a pair of reasonable quality ones i inherited onto my allroad touring thing.....actually I'm pretty sold on them now. I'm only greenlaning, but I and the bike came back cleaner, especially over winter.
I wouldn't put them on an " offroad" kinda bike, as they would definitely be in the way / get caught on bushes etc, but its horses for courses.
