Ouch! that's nasty AyJay and although it's sore and uncomfortable right now it's only for a short while thank goodness and shouldn't cause any issues once it's heald and even though it's dampend your enthusiasm for cycling atm you just need to get out on a bike as soon as the wound has healed up and your enthusiasm will slowly begin to return as i got back on my bike after being knocked off it by a car back in 1990 even though it took a while as i was off my feet for 3 weeks and then i strained a muscle in my back so it was like 6 weeks before i got back on one of my other bikes before i got the Dawes i was on at the time of the accident sorted so just don't ever let feeling down get the better of you and you'll be out enjoying cycling again sooner than you imagine ..
