so i went to my uncles to borrow a hacksaw and stumbled across this fine bit 'o' retro assss at the back of his shed .

i want to take it in and clean it and give it some love and attention and maybe get sexually aquainted with it or something. but he uses and loves it so no chance :)

just curious if anyone could tell me more about it ?

purely going on my cousins klein i'm guessing it's fairly good quality do to the headset/ handle bars etc all being one lump of metal rather than seperate parts

and my hypothesis on this is due to expensive badminton rackets being 1 piece of metal as a pose to most of them being in 3 parts, is there any reality in my random aquasion ?

It's got some pretty nice kit on it. I used to sell a later incarnation of these, which were a big old downgrade from that spec, but that one is nice :)
I'd say a lot of parts have been changed over during it's life so difficult to tell how it started off. Maybe someone will know though.

I like the reflector mounted on the back brake cable clamp

I quite fancy that seatpost if its in 27.2...

Sorry, mentally undressing your Uncles bike just then:

I don't want to come between you and this potential 'conquest' ;)

I have a Monarch Pro.

Reasonable quality frames if nowt special - More on mine in the link below.

Yours however looks to have fast back stays :? suggesting something other than the norm

They did a Monarch Team but that had Ritchey dropouts - yours look std.

The dual noodles at the seatclamp are quite a nice touch - I have seen the same on other Monarchs but don't with that seatclamp.

Judging by the kit it looks to have had money and love lavished on it.

Get some better pics up :p
